SAMPLE REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS

The certificates below are intended to assist prospective puppy buyers when going to view a pure bred pedigree puppy for sale. The first larger image is of the new Kennel Club form. If the dog you are viewing is no longer owned by the breeder the form will look almost identical to this one except it will be blue and the bottom part will be entitled "The Kennel Club Owner Registration Certificate". When buying a pure bred puppy you should be given one of these certificates by the seller. Be wary of any registration documents that differ from those shown below. If the form you are shown is different to this form the puppy has not been registered with the Kennel Club and may not be a pure bred dog. Check the form carefully. The back of the form has various Kennel Club information pre-printed on it and the form should be watermarked. The information should also tally correctly with the pedigree details. The second form is the older version of the Breeder Registration Certificate. If the Seller shows you the registration documents for the Sire or Dam of the puppy their certificate may be one of these older forms.
